Siemens layoffs: Siemens’ reorganization of its IT business department and 4200 layoffs before 2011
News on March 19 2010: according to foreign media reports, the German industrial giant Siemens AG Thursday announced that its IT business by 2011 will lay off 4,200 employees.Siemens will lay off 2,000 people, which are mainly in Germany, Hong Kong, Munich, Paderborn and Nuremberg / Erlangen.

Siemens said the company’s IT business unit will enter a “more promising solutions for the market,” the business in 2012 will be more than 500 million euros of investment. “These investments will enable Siemens IT Solutions and Services (SIS) to meet the customers a wider range of needs.” The company said in a statement. In the Deutsche Boerse Xetra electronic trading platform, Siemens shares fell 0.5 percent today.
