Stay with the first half of the total retail sales of catering industry by 18.1 percent year-on-year
According to the State Department of Public Works web site news letter, the first half of 2009, accommodation and catering retail sales reached 851.4 billion yuan, up 18.1% year-on-year growth rate fell 5.6 percentage points.

The first half of 2009, accommodation and catering retail sales reached 851.4 billion yuan, up 18.1% year-on-year growth rate fell 5.6 percentage points. Among them, the total retail sales in January to 162.56 billion yuan, up 21.6% year-on-year growth rate fell 1.7 percentage points; the total retail sales in February to 139.03 billion yuan, an increase of 15.9 percent, an increase of 7.1 percentage points decline; the total retail sales in March to 136.7 billion yuan , an increase of 18.7 percent, an increase of 5.9 percentage points decline; the total retail sales in April to 132.32 billion yuan, an increase of 17.9 percent, an increase of 7.3 percentage points decline; the total retail sales in May to 141.05 billion yuan, an increase of 17.2 percent, an increase of 5.2 percentage points decline; 6 Retail sales amounted to 139.74 billion yuan, an increase of 17.0%, an increase of 8.7 percentage point decline.

From a regional perspective, the first half of the provinces and cities of the accommodation and catering industry retail sales growth in both. Among them, the coastal areas affected by the international financial crisis, obviously, the slow growth rate. Guangdong Province, such as accommodation catering industry up 13.3 percent; Beijing, the restaurant industry grew 13.6 percent, an increase of 3% lodging industry; 9.2 percent growth in Tianjin accommodation; Zhejiang accommodation and catering industry growth was only 4.5%. The central and western regions of China’s accommodation catering industry is not affected by financial crisis, maintaining a relatively high growth rate. Inner Mongolia, such as accommodation and catering retail sales up 21.5 percent; Jilin accommodation catering industry retail sales of 19.192 billion yuan, up 24.2 percent, higher than the total retail sales of social consumer goods, average growth of 5.8 percentage points; Sichuan accommodation and catering industry sales 514.89 billion yuan, up 22.5 percent, higher than the corresponding increase in total retail sales of consumer goods by 2 percentage points; Yunnan Province, the fastest-growing restaurant industry reached 27.9%.
