Li Keqiang: measures to address the financial crisis in achieving results
The afternoon of July 2, 3-day think tank of the first global summit opened in Beijing. 30 more than the world’s top think tanks, more than 150 countries of the former politicians, Nobel laureates, as well as more than 900 Chinese and foreign business representatives gathered in a “share of human wisdom, and conspiracy to global development.” Chinese Vice Premier Li Keqiang, former Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi, former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, Yunus, founder of Grameen Bank in Bangladesh, the United States, such as the Brookings Institution President Thornton attended today’s opening ceremony.

The three-day summit, the theme of “sharing together the global development of human wisdom.” Summit a total of five parallel to the main forums and sub-forum. And that the main forum for the global financial crisis and world economic outlook, financial crisis, will focus on trends and forecasts, financial crisis, economic globalization and regionalization of the impact of such issues. Five parallel discussion forum will be to promote trade liberalization and investment facilitation, sustainable development and macroeconomic policies, multinational corporations in the financial crisis cooperation and responsibility, the global consumer savings and financial security, a major economic think-tank co-operation with and so on.

Chinese Vice Premier Li Keqiang are doing a keynote speech, pointed out that today’s world, interdependence between countries has been strengthened after the outbreak of the international financial crisis, governments take measures, and achieved practical results. And the prospects for world economic development and the challenges remain daunting, the need for the international community to continue to play a co-operative spirit, the spirit of mutual respect, equality and the principle of consensus, promoting pragmatic cooperation. The summit of Chinese and foreign people to cooperate with each other provided a good platform, I hope that has been admitted, a wide-ranging exchange on to cope with the international financial crisis, the world economy and China’s economic development, such as a real exchange of views topic. I believe that with our concerted efforts, the conference will achieve real success!

Global think tank the summit by the China International Economic and Exchange Center.
