President Hu Jintao sends consolatory message to Mexican leader over swine flu threat
Chinese President Hu Jintao sent a consolatory message on Tuesday to his Mexican counterpart Felipe Calderon after a swine flu outbreak has killed 152 people in the country. In the message, Hu expressed sincere consolation to Calderon, the Mexican government and the people on behalf of the Chinese government, the Chinese people, as well as in his own name. China is willing to strengthen cooperation with Mexico in addressing the challenges posed by the deadly influenza virus, Hu said, adding that China is ready to provide any assistance that may be necessary.
Magna factory will temporarily lay off 725 employees in Ontario
Canadian parts supplier Magna announced on April 27, the company would lay off 725 employees the Formet Industries factory.
