The United Nations the Intergovernmental Negotiating of reform of the Security Council
Xinhua: United Nations on February 19th (Xinhua Wang Xiangjiang) the 63rd United Nations General Assembly convened an informal plenary meeting on 19th, which officially launched the reform of the Council of the Intergovernmental Negotiating. Session was held in the Trusteeship Council Chamber at United Nations Headquarters in New York, and the United Nations had 192 members States represented. In accordance with the relevant resolutions of the UN General Assembly, the Intergovernmental Negotiating will focus on five questions.

Chinese Permanent Representative in the United Nations, Zhang Yesui on the same day reiterated that China firmly supported for the Council to carry out reasonable and necessary reforms. Zhang Yesui said that the Chinese side believed that the reform of the Security Council should give priority to developing countries, especially African countries.

Stanford International Bank was frozen the assets in Venezuela by Venezuela

Finance Minister of Venezuelan, Ali Rodriguez on 19th at a press conference said that at present, some companies have already expressed interest in the acquisition of Stanford Bank in Venezuela. He said that bank run which the bank happened on 18th were due to outside influence, had nothing to do with Venezuela’s domestic situation and did not affect Venezuela’s financial institutions. He urged depositors to stay calm.
