India supports low price notebook

Indian government supports 20 U.S. dollars notebook plan to challenge ASUS Eee PC
India push 20 U.S. dollars notebook program, which had obtained the support from Indian government. This project was seen as the initiative of the United States Negroponte’s “100 U.S. dollars notebook computer” challenges. Intel also introduced the similar product Classmate to echo.

However, children computer have been subjected to the cold-shouldered in India. 20 U.S. dollars Indian notebooks will also challenge ASUS Eee PC. Eee PC is the world’s first low-cost, small size network computer, and no hard drive through commercial channel. Its price is among 200-400 dollars.
