Malaysia next year will require passengers of vehicle rear seat wearing seat belts
Xinhua in Kuala Lumpur, on Dec 28th (Reporter Xiong Ping) Malaysia from January 1 next year requires mandatory for rear seat passengers of car wearing seat belts, or face punishment. Malaysia Department of Transportation Bureau of Transportation by land, said the other day that from January 1 next year, if no rear seat passengers wearing seat belts, they will face a 300 ringgit (about 83 U.S. dollars) as a fine.

The Government of the Philippines in 2009 to speed up infrastructure to stimulate the economy
According to the Philippines, “Daily” reported on December 29th, the Philippine National Economic Development Director Anthony RaKoto said that the government planed in the first quarter of 2009 to speed up the implementation of provincial highways, bridges and irrigation and other infrastructure construction projects, with a view to during the recession of the global economy to stimulate economic growth. RaKoto said that in 2009 the government was to invest 160 billion pesos (about 3.5 billion U.S. dollars) for infrastructure projects with a view to achieving the government’s target for economic growth.

Woolworth store bankruptcy

100 years old shops of Britain was closed down
On 27th, one Woolworth store posted a “discount sale” as the characters. On the same day, nearly a hundred-year-old, British chains supermarket, Woolworth with 200 stores ushered in the last day before the closure of the business. Due to the huge debt burden, the Woolworth supermarket company announced more than 800 stores befor January 5, 2009 closed.

U.S. spending huge sums on micro-experimental “artificial sun”
The energy crisis urged human daring to look for alternative sources of energy. U.S. scientists hope to imitate nuclear fusion principle of the sun center to create a mini-”artificial sun” to bring hopes to explore new energy in future. With experiments, the construction cost of 1.75 billion U.S. dollars, which is expected to be completed by spring next year.
