Financial Crisis influence the IT industry in the world

The global financial crisis has greatly impacted on world IT industry, over the past couple of months, there has been many international IT giants laying off their employees: Hewlett-Packard, Motorola, Yahoo, AMD and so on.
Layoffs in Domestic IT companies in China:
Motorola (China) layoffs on November 8 is unclear; UUSee layoffs (Video Website) on November 6 is 20 people; SouFan layoffs (Real Estate Portal) on Nov. 5 is 300 people; TCL Computer layoffs (IT industry) on November 4 is 50 people; 6.cn layoffs (Video Website) on November 3 is 140 people; PPlive layoffs on November 31 is 20 people; bokee layoffs (blog site) on November 21 is unclear; TechFaith layoffs (IT industry) on Aug 19 is 700 people.

The IT companies rumor the layoffs plan in China:
Tudou layoffs in October is 20% of employees; Wangshang layoffs in October is 30% of employees; Intohotel layoffs(Travel Management B2B) in October is 1800 employees; Foxconn layoffs (IT manufacturing) in October is one billion people; UMC (chips for Trade and Industry) on September 25 is 1300 people.

The closure of enterprises (bankruptcy) in China:
99.cn bankruptcy (music Web site) on October 29; MadeInChina.com bankruptcy (e-commerce) on September 11.

Layoffs in Foreign enterprises
BitTorrent layoffs (file-sharing Website) on November 8 are 18 employees; SanDisk layoffs (flash memory chips) on November 7 are 450 employees; LinkedIn layoffs (social site) on November 6 are 36 employees; AMD layoffs (IT industry) on November 6 are 500 employees; Nokia layoffs (telecommunications industry) on November 4 are 600 people; Motorola layoffs on October 31 in the telecommunications industry are 3000 people. Freescale layoffs on November 1 are 2,400 people; Whirlpool layoffs on October 28 are 5,000 people; Electronic Arts layoffs on October 31 are 600 people; Qwest layoffs on October 30 are 1200 people; Time layoffs on October 29 are 600 people; Gannett layoffs on October 26 are 3000 people; Goldman Sachs layoffs on October 24 are 3260 people; Xerox layoffs on October 24 are 3000 people; Yahoo layoffs on October 22 are 1430 people; Sony Ericsson layoffs on October 18 are 2000 people; Zillow layoffs on October 18 are 35 people……
